University Residences
University residences offer more affordable accommodation, but they are often fully booked.
We therefore strongly recommend that you start applying for accommodation in a residence as soon as possible. There will probably be waiting lists, so make sure you remain registered on them.
Residences on aglae.ch
The website https://aglae.ch/ includes most of the residences in Geneva.
The residences managed directly by the University of Geneva are reserved for bachelor and master students, except for the following residences:
- The Tronchet residence, located in Thônex, with furnished individual studios. Rent and expenses are CHF 1’150.- all inclusive.
- The Champel residence, located near the University Medical Centre, with shared flats. Each flat has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and the rent is CHF 950.- all inclusive. Priority is given to students from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Geneva.
If you are interested in any of these options, please create an account at https://www.logetud.ch and apply to all residences for which you meet the eligibility criteria. Some have age limits, and some do not accept couples.
This registration platform also gives you access to other residences. We invite you to do this as soon as possible.
